Attending WEFTEC for the first time can be both exciting and overwhelming. This guide is designed to help you make the most of your experience before, during, and after the conference.
Before the Conference
- Preparation: Set your priorities and learning objectives to help you choose between technical content, networking events, and the exhibit hall.
- Registration: Learn about conference registration, fees, and badge pick-up. Book your hotel room through the official supplier, Convention Management Resources, Inc. (CMR), to get the best rates.
- Travel: Complimentary charter bus service will run between official conference hotels and the convention center. Review the shuttle schedule to ensure you don’t miss the bus.
During the Conference
- Dress Code: The dress code is business casual. Bring comfortable, low-heeled, closed-toe shoes and a light jacket. Dress in layers to ensure a productive and comfortable conference experience.
- Agenda: Create a personalized agenda using the Online Planner or the WEFTEC 2024 App. Arrive early on the first day to pick up your badge and attend the WEFTEC 101 First Timer’s Orientation.
- Networking: Use WEFTEC to meet new people and expand your network. Share contact information through business cards, LinkedIn, social media, email, QR codes, or the WEFTEC 2024 App.
After the Conference
- Follow-Up: Check back in with the priorities and learning objectives you set for yourself to help you choose between all the technical content, networking events, and visiting the exhibit hall.
- Sustainability: Participate in the Fill It Forward program by bringing a reusable water bottle. Water bottle refill stations can be found near the restrooms in the convention center.
